I was hoping to just plug the cable in and start work straight away like with Capture 1, but you need to fiddle around with the set up.
All these actionas are extra steps that a photographer doesn\’t need. Sony a7r iii and iv are not fully compatible with Smart Shooter 4. Tether Tools say they are not they are not. I can fire the shutter and do everything else with the mk 3 except LV. The mk4 won\’t even be recognised. Great addition. Some users may prefer this to using Capture One Pro for tethered shooting with Sony cameras only.
C1 works like a dream with my A7riii. Just connect via usb c cable and press the shutter then the images can be viewed straight away. No hassle with setting up watch folders or auto imports. Finally I will be able to tether my Sony cameras especially in studio or for fashion shots! I will give it a try! If you want an instant preview of the last foto AND an automatic import in lightroom, this is the only solution for sony-shooters.
